La Baladeuses
Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, FR
Fanny Daher hails from Southern France, with roots in the Marseille area. Growing up in Marseille, she often helped her cousin at the biodynamic Domaine Sulauze, an early introduction to the world of winemaking. She later pursued formal studies in viticulture in Lyon, which led her on a journey across the globe—from New Zealand to Chile—working in various domaines focused on organic agriculture and winemaking.
Eventually, Fanny returned to France, contributing her talents to renowned estates such as Domaine Les Vignes du Maynes, La Ferme des Sept Lunes, and Christian Binner in Alsace. In 2019, she moved back to Marseille and launched her own small négociant project, La Baladeuse, sourcing grapes from Southern France and vinifying them in a small corner of the Domaine Sulauze cellar. In 2024, she transitioned to a cellar closer to Marseille, with aspirations to establish her own domaine in the Ardèche in the coming years.
Fanny’s wines are known for their lightness, elegance, and finesse. She often blends reds and whites together, infusing one with the other, and primarily works with fiberglass tanks. The farmers she collaborates with are always friends and are either local to the areas she has previously worked in or from the region where she grew up. Like many young winemakers, Fanny Daher’s project has a promising beginning, and it is exciting to follow her journey as it unfolds.
