Reflecting on the question, “what is a ‘Varda’ wine?”. I was thinking it could be a style that we import, but ultimately realized we import many different styles of wine.

From the start, we’ve sought out those young, lesser-known winemakers who might not have inherited much but found their way to natural wine the way many of us did: through a single bottle or moment that shifted everything. They chose to drop everything and follow a path less traveled—not for money or ease, but for freedom, passion, and a restless ambition to do things differently.

We believe while the bottle of wine found on the table should be exceptional, the thing that makes wines special is the conversation and community that a bottle of wine can unlock.
