Reflecting on the question, "What is a Varda wine?" we initially thought it might describe a style: a certain thirst, loosely defined, assembled almost by intuition. But style felt reductive when held against the true breadth and depth of our producers.

This reflection clarified something that has always guided us.

From the beginning, we've sought out young, lesser-known winemakers who may not have inherited much by way or land or vines, but who found their way to natural wine the way many of us did: through a single bottle, a single moment that shifted everything. They left other paths behind, not for money or ease, but for freedom, passion, and a restless drive to do things differently.

We believe the wine on the table should be exceptional. But more than that, we believe in what a single bottle can unlock: the conversation, the connection, the community that makes a wine truly memorable.
